SocketSense will be presenting an ePoster at the upcoming international trade show, OTWorld (https://www.ot-world.com/). This year the world congress will be held exclusively online due to the current situation regarding the pandemic.
Prior to designing the sensors for application in prosthetic sockets, an understanding of the expected pressures and their distributions within the socket was required. A systematic approach was taken to review existing literature related to pressure within prosthetic sockets of transfemoral amputees. The ePoster introduces a short description of the methodology and findings from the review, which was done in collaboration by partners of the SocketSense consortium, KTH, TU, and Össur.
